Les élèves de LLCER ont été accueillis au festival du cinéma américain de Deauville.
Ils ont pu assister à la projection de deux films d’auteur, en version originale sous titrée : Runner et Fremont

Suite à cette journée, les élèves ont rédigé le texte ci-dessous :

When we arrived at Deauville, there was a good athmosphere on the sea shore on this sunny day. We took some pictures in front of the red carpet before entering the "Casino Barrière" in order to take part of the festival. Once we were inside, we went in the movie theater to watch the first art film called "RUNNER". It was a great visual and musical art work about a girl living an empty life without any aim who, after her father’s death, tries to make her way in society and find a reason to live her life and achieve goals on her own. This movie is mostly for people who prefer landscapes and not too much dialogue between characters. Then we went to eat some sandwiches and after this break we went to the beach before the second movie started.

After that we returned to the "Casino Barrière" to watch the second movie called "FREMONT". It was really interesting, it was about an immigrant who worked in a fortune cookies factory. But one day she decides to put her phone number in a fortune cookie to see what will happenes next and to let fate decide. It was really funny because of some characters but we also learnt things about immigrant’s lifes and how hard it is to be immigrated in society.

These movies were really entertaining by their stories but also by the message and moral both of them have in the end. Despite the huge difference between these two art works, both of them make us feel several different feelings and can, for most of us, make ourselves identify with the main characters and their stories.
